Top Venda business man (Thilivhali Edward Nelwamondo) kills himself and wife, after a heated argument during a divorce proceedings meeting.

The whole of Vhembe is in shock, after learning about Nelwamondo (Vhembe’s top security mogul-Mahosi Security owner) shooting his new wife and then turning the gun on himself, at a local attorney office during divorce proceedings.

Nelwamondo is the owner of Mahosi Security Company, that was awarded a R43 million security services tender by the Musina Municipality in 2021. Mahosi security also services numerous high profile clients including amongst them, Spar.

Nelwamondo is also famous for his generous giving in various church organizations in the Vhembe district.

Nelwamondo left his former wife and kids to marry the new wife. The new couple had been married for about 6 months prior to this horrific incident taking place.

According to a close source, the new marriage was going through the rocks, which led to the pair deciding to divorce. The divorce process led to a stressful challenge for Nelwamondo when attorneys arrived at a decision for the two’s assets to be split equally. It is said that on the day the shooting, the couple got into a heated argument in the attorney’s office (at the Old mutual business park Thohoyandou), which led Nelwamondo firing 2 shots in the air, then turning the gun to his wife and then on himself. Eye witnesses added that Nelwamondo was heard shouting “ENOUGH!” after-which gunshots were fired. The two were declared dead on the scene.

The matter is still under investigation by the police.
