Phoenix Motor Mech Competition Spotlights Young Automotive Stars

Phoenix Technical School was buzzing with activity this past weekend as twelve eager learners put their mechanical skills to the test in the KwaZulu-Natal edition of the MIWA Motor Mech Competition. The event, a partnership with the Motor Industry Workshop Association (MIWA), a key association within the Retail Motor Industry, aimed to showcase the best young talent in the region.

The competition, a testament to the dedication and passion of aspiring mechanics, provided a platform for the students to demonstrate their knowledge and abilities in a range of practical challenges. Judges carefully assessed their performance, looking for precision, problem-solving skills, and a thorough understanding of automotive systems.

The atmosphere was electric, with supporters cheering on their favoured contestants. The competition not only highlighted individual talent but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and healthy rivalry amongst the participants.

The winner received a fully paid license, a significant boost to their future career prospects in the motor industry. Organisers hope the event will inspire more young people to consider a career in automotive engineering.
