Multiple Injuries Reported in Minibus Taxi Collision

Twenty people have been injured in a serious road traffic incident in Thohoyandou earlier today. The collision involved two minibus taxis and occurred at the junction of Robert Sobukwe and 35th Avenue.

Emergency services, including Taurus Medical and Sports Medics, rushed to the scene following reports of the incident. Paramedics assessed the injured, and it is understood that the injuries range from minor cuts and bruises to more serious and critical conditions.

“The situation was challenging due to the number of casualties,” said a spokesperson from Taurus Medical. “Our priority was to stabilise the injured and ensure they received the necessary medical attention. They have all been transported to local hospitals for further care.”

The cause of the collision is currently under investigation by local authorities. Motorists are advised to exercise caution and adhere to traffic regulations in the area.
