Successful Operation Shanela Tackles Crime in Germiston/Primrose

Germiston, Ekurhuleni – A large-scale police operation targeting crime in the Germiston and Primrose area has resulted in numerous arrests. The operation, part of the ongoing “Shanela” initiative, was spearheaded by Gauteng Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Tommy Mthombeni, and involved a multidisciplinary team of law enforcement officials.

During a roadblock set up in the area, officers apprehended over 70 individuals found to be without proper documentation. In addition, 54 people were taken into custody for alleged drunk driving offences.
