Drug Dealing Suspect Arrested with Suspected Mandrax in Phoenix

A man has been apprehended in Phoenix, near Durban, following a joint operation by the Durban Metro Police and Phoenix SAPS.

On August 18th, 2025, officers from the Durban Metro Police Service’s EITT and TSU Units, alongside members of the Phoenix South African Police Service (SAPS), successfully arrested a 46-year-old man of Indian descent. The arrest took place during an operation targeting suspected [sensitive content replaced].

The suspect was allegedly found to be in possession of approximately 1.47 kilograms of what is believed to be Mandrax.
