Hout Bay Shooting: Police Investigate Deadly Incident

Thohoyandou residents are being made aware of a tragic incident that took place in Hout Bay, Western Cape, last night. While far from our local area, the news serves as a reminder of the importance of community safety across the nation.

Detectives from the Provincial Serious and Violent Crime Unit and the Taxi Service Dispute Team are currently investigating a sh**ting that occurred on Thursday, August 21st, 2025, at approximately 8:15 PM on OR Tambo Road in Imizamo Yethu, Hout Bay. Sadly, two men lost their lives in the incident, and five others sustained injuries.

The circumstances surrounding the sh**ting are still under investigation, and authorities are appealing to anyone with information to come forward and assist with their inquiries.
