Rofhiwa Nethwadzi Lights Up the Royal Heritage Festival Stage
Fancy a bit of South African culture with a right royal twist? Well, listen up! There’s a fantastic event called the Phalaphala FM Royal Heritage Festival that takes place annually. It sounds like a brilliant day out, celebrating local traditions and music in a stunning setting. I’ve been doing some digging and it seems like it all goes down at the Royal Gardens near Nandoni Dam.
The Royal Heritage Festival, hosted by Phalaphala FM, is a real highlight in the cultural calendar. Think vibrant colours, amazing sounds and a whole lot of community spirit. Even though I’m over here in the UK, I’ve been following it online. Just check out this tweet here – the energy looks incredible! You can see Rofhiwa Nethwadzi really bringing the heat! It looks like a proper celebration featuring SABC 2 too.
From what I can gather, the festival is a brilliant showcase of Venda culture. It must be amazing to experience it firsthand. The beautiful Nandoni Dam and Royal Gardens provide a stunning backdrop, and it’s clear the community is at the heart of the event. If you’re ever planning a trip to South Africa around September, this festival should definitely be on your radar. For more local news in the area, you can also check out news in the City of Thohoyandou, which is nearby. It sounds like a proper knees-up!
